The private islands of Georgia, including Eagle Island (bottom, middle) alongside the Darien River. Sapelo Island and the Atlantic Ocean are in the distance. Georgia's backwaters are a brackish mix of saltwater and fresh, rich in the nutrients of a great fishery. In May schools of 60 to 100 redfish start cruising the mud banks.
