
6. Bill's home before he was a Patriot
Bill Belichick won his first two Super Bowls as the defensive coordinator for the Giants in 1986 and 1990. He then slogged through three seasons at the Meadowlands with the New York Jets before moving to New England as head coach in 2000. His adieu to the Garden State, one day after being named head coach of the Jets, came on a handwritten sheet of notebook paper with the words: "I resign as HC of the NYJ.'' Efficient, like him. It was what it was.
