Located adjacent to the northeast corner of Battery Park, this is the first national museum dedicated to the preservation, study, and exhibition of the life, languages, literature, history, and arts of Native Americans.
Through changing exhibits in the monumental Alexander Hamilton US Custom House, one can see examples of Native American crafts, clothes, beading, and other artifacts of culture, sometimes contemporary, from across the Americas.
Favorite feature: The elliptical 140-ton skylight in the rotunda.
