WOODSTOCK, Vt. — Much of New England gets an early jump on the end-of-year holidays, but genteel Woodstock shows a certain restraint, waiting until less than two weeks before Christmas to drag out the mistletoe, tinsel, and bunting. All that anticipation means that the celebration makes up for lost time with a weekend packed with merriment: the 30th annual Wassail Weekend, Dec. 13-15.
