Massachusetts is saying thank you to military families by offering free admission to 68 museums this summer.

More than 2,000 museums nationwide will take part in the Blue Star Museums program this year. The program, which began in 2010, allows free admission to our nation’s service members and their families from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

The first year, fewer than 1,000 museums took part. In the past four years, the number of museums that have signed on has doubled, reports the Associated Press.
