Marc Lepire, from Quebec, entered with "Protector of the Universe."
Quebec's Guy-Olivier Deveau took home second place with his entry.
Greg J. Grady's "To the Moon" took home the prize for sculptor's choice.
"Childhood Memories" was the theme of Michel Lepire's entry.

Ontario's Karen Fralich took received a fourth-place prize for "Mirror Mirror."
Justin Gordon's fifth-place entry, "Legislated Liberty." Gordon hails from Massachusetts.
Lighted, nightime viewing will continue through July 7.
Two hundred fifty tons of sand were dropped at the site.

Gordon, from Massachusetts, used a straw to distribute sand evenly on his entry. Gordon won the top prize at Hampton in 2010.

Each site is provided at least two 55-gallon drums of water with the competitors sharing a hose. The site is not allowed to be wet down prior to the start of the competition, but an unlimited number of buckets may be used.

No power tools or equipment may be used in the plot site.
No molds of any kind may be used. All forms must be removed prior to judging.
First prize in the competition is $3,000. The People's Choice Award carries a prize of $500. Each entrant also receives a $750 fee just for competing.
