Conditions Improving Across the East!

Jay Peak is the early front-runner for total snowfall, shock-ah. As of Sunday 12/5 they received 18 inches of natural snow in the last six days, bringing Jay's season total to 40". The resort is also taking advantage of the cold temperatures to blow as much snow as possible.

Jay Peak is currently offering discounted lift tickets - $35 for Adults and $25 for juniors. Ski and stay packages are also available from just $99 and include everything from lodging, lift tickets and meals, to free daycare for kids 2 to 7 years of age. More information is available at Jay Peak or 1.800.451.4449.

Waterville and Okemo are leading the East in the most open terrain category with 23% and 21% respectively, as of Sunday 12/5/04. I received an email from a friend in the Loon area and it reported 4” of new fluff on the windshield Saturday morning with a general feeling of winter in the air. Loon also has some interesting pictures of the new lift they installed on their site.

Check Snow Country to find out what is happening at your favorite resort.
