Dr. Weather Flash…tons of snow in parts of S. Canada and Pacific NW
Content below provided by Jim Roemer on 12/4/04 www.bestskiweather.com.
NEW ENGLAND: Snow returns to New England with 3-7" many areas across central Adirondacks to Sugarbush, Stowe, Jay Peak and across to Cannon and Waterville, Valley. Snow making going along fine now. However, significant storm to bring snow and ice north and heavy rain south again (Berkshires, lower Catskills and southern and central Vermont/NH Monday night-Tuesday). Sugarloaf to Sunday River could get modest to heavy snows and possibly some ice.
BEST PLACES: WHERE TO SKI LATER THIS WEEK AND WEEKEND
Tons of snow from two storms could drop 1.5-3.0 feet with some places
3 feet along Pacific and California coast over the next 7 days. Don't
rule out a foot or more around Sunday River.
Stevens Pass, Crystal Mountain, Squaw Valley, Fernie, Banff, Red
Mountain, Mt. Baker, Mt. Hood, Telluride, Crested Butte and possibly Mt. Tremblant and northern Leutians could get dumped on Tuesday.
Alta and Snowbird are great now and could get a few inches this week and possibly a foot.
LONG RANGE—
Major pattern change for at least 5-7 days toward drier and warmer west and possibly east coast storm around the 11th---big rain or snow event.
