Powder Day At Jay Peak Resort
December 14, 2004 – Jay Peak has tallied 28” of new snowfall since last Thursday. The mountain is skiing and riding brilliantly. Better yet, I was speaking with Bill Stenger this morning and he told me that the resort plans to be operating at 100% of its terrain by this Friday! Making Jay Peak the first in the East to be fully operational. The resort has not even released that information yet!
This picture was taken today around noon by Rob Vosinek. Jamie of The Lodge going deep in trees.

Better yet, the wind is blowing a lot of the snow around; there are some huge stashes up on the mountain. I found myself snorkelling may way through the trees out Beyond Beaver Pond. The trails were nothing to shake a stick at either; they started to bump up a bit with big softies after noontime. Spectacular mid-winter conditions here at Jay Peak Resort.
I am composing this from Jay Peak and as I glance out the window, it is still snowing. Apparently, somebody woke up the Jay Cloud. Get this, in the lift lines I heard a few locals complaining that they haven’t seen the sun in weeks. The conditions are fantastic and as more snow falls from the sky things will only improve. They are even making snow like crazy today. If you are looking for a place to book a winter vacation over the holidays this season, Jay Peak Resort is where you will find the best snow.
