Why you ask should I fight the holiday traffic and crowds? Two words: New Snow! Dr. Weather is forecasting snow on and off for the next three days:

JAY PEAK, STOWE, WHITEFACE, QUEBEC, SUGARBUSH, KILLINGTON, CANNON, LOON, WATERVILLE VALLEY, BRETTON WOODS, SUGARLOAF AND SUNDAY RIVER WILL HAVE ANYWHERE FROM 8-14" BETWEEN TOMORROW AND MONDAY EVENING WITH ISOLATED HEAVIER AMOUNTS IN FAR N. VERMONT AND QUEBEC.

On top of the 30 + inches that have fallen since last Thursday and you got the best skiing and riding of the season for us here in the East.

It is snowing steadily this (Friday) morning in Bretton Woods, check out Mount Washington. The many areas around the Presidential Range in the White Mountains of NH are always a safe bet for this holiday! Think day trip if you can not do an overnight. A couple inches here, man made snow, some more natural over there and Presto, bases of packed powder for all.

Want in, here’s what to do? First, figure out where you what to be when you wake up tomorrow morning. Check out Snow County to find out all the conditions at your favorite resorts across the region. Then find the town chamber for your pick. Call them, they are a huge resource that is often overlooked. They have a bead on open rooms and can match you up with what fits your tastes.

Some other helpful resources are Ski New Hampshire, Ski Maine and the Vermont Ski Areas Association, . Check out these sites, loaded with good information, always a good starting point.
