Downeast Maine is once again rolling out the blue carpet to celebrate the area's sweetest and wildest crop. As the state that produces more than 90 percent of the nations wild blueberries, Mainers proves each year that they wont hesitate to get their hands (or faces) dirty for their favorite fruit.
The entire weekend will be bursting with live entertainment, blueberry farm tours, and a childrens parade. Of course, no blueberry festival would be complete without a pie eating contest, which may be just as fun to watch as it is participate in.
