Source: AAA Southern New England
Take a day-trip that's filled with hidden treasures!
1. Route 7 in the Berkshires
Among the hills stretching north to the Vermont border and south to Connecticut, Route 7 in the Berkshires is home to hundreds of antique shops. Known as Antique Highway, Route 7 boasts local dealers selling everything from 17th century English furniture to Asian sculpture to estate jewelry.

2. Route 6A on Cape Cod
Route 6A, known as the Old King's Highway, is designated as an America Byway*. As you enter the Cape, Route 6A begins just after the Bourne Bridge. It covers 35 miles, passing through some of the oldest, most scenic towns on Cape Cod including Sandwich, Barnstable, and Brewster.

3. Route 1 in Coastal Maine
This 46-mile portion of U.S. Route 1 from Kittery to Portland is the focus of our Treasure route. If time allows, the remaining 208 miles of U.S. Route 1 from Portland to the Canadian border is well worth the investment.

4. Route 114 in Bristol and Warren, RI
The 5 mile section of Rte 114 in Bristol is also designated an America Byway*. Explore treasures on Hope Street in Bristol, then walk a block closer to the Harbor to Thames Street for even more great antique shops. In Warren, Main Street (Routte 114) is the place to start. Continue on to Water Street, along the Warren River for more shopping.

5. Route 7 Rutland to Burlington, VT (Pittsford, Brandon)
From the border of Massachusetts to Burlington, Route 7 will provide many opportunities to search for antique treasures. Pay particular attention to the Manchester area and consider a side trip up Route 30 to Dorset. Plan time to explore Pittsford and Brandon located north of Rutland on Route 7.

*What Are America's Byways?
America's Byways are a collection of distinct and diverse roads, designated by the U.S. Secretary of Transportation. Comprised of 96 roads in 39 states, these roads connect visitors to the heart and soul of the country.
