Perfect Saturday weather turns sour for Sunday

What a great day we have for today. Sunshine, warm temperatures and light winds will combine with low levels of humidity to make this a perfect day. A few clouds could pop-up from time to time, but there is no chance of rain. This is the type of day we expect in summer.

Unfortunately a pair of weather systems, one from the south and one from the west will prevent us from enjoying two of these days in a row.
Sunday will feature many clouds, the risk of showers and more humidity. It won’t be a very nice summer day although temperatures will be in the upper 70s to near 80F in the afternoon. This area of inclement weather will be moving slowly. Therefore, Monday will start rather cloudy and a leftover shower is certainly possible. If the area really slows down, we could see a period of steadier rain in the morning. No matter what, the trend will be for clearing later in the day and a return to lower humidity. Temperatures will be warm Monday in the lower and middle 80s.
Believe it or not Tuesday and Wednesday are looking like TWO nice days in a row. Highs will be in the lower 80s. These will be great summer days with low humidity and super to get outside. Another weather system comes at us on Thursday with more clouds and a renewed chance of showers. Better weather returns for the end of the week and hopefully lasts into the weekend.
Our weather pattern continues to be what I like to call active. This brings frequent changes and chance of showers. I also don’t see any days with highs reaching the 90s, so for now at least the heat is off. There may be a return to hot weather for a time around August 10th, but that is based on a model that is not highly accurate that far in advance.
Gardening this week
All this wet weather has made growing tomatoes somewhat challenging. There are many diseases that show up when the weather is cloudy and moist. If you are trying to grow tomatoes without chemicals it can be somewhat challenging. The video below shows you several different products to use when growing tomatoes or other crops, without chemicals.
