This video was sent to us by Bence Peter, a student of Berklee College of Music, who says he wanted to commemorate the victims and Boston's spirit after the Marathon bombings. The song was written a couple months ago and released in January.

"After the Boston Marathon bombings, several students from Berklee College of Music decided to send their prayer, love and support to all the victims through music, a short acapella version of the song called "I Am Because You Are" written by Bence Peter and Vadim Neselovskyi (professor of Berklee College of Music),'' said an edited version of the email that accompanied the video.:

In an interview, Gabriela Lencka, 25, of Poland, a producer of the video, said: “Our school is within crime investigation area. Our classes are suspended. It affects all of us… Music is the means that we know how to express ourselves.”

“The song is about compassion and unconditional love and how it’s important to share the joy and the tragedy.”
