No stranger to unique feats of engineering, MIT will get a visit from a big boot on wheels Thursday.
The L.L. Bean Bootmobile will roll up to the student center plaza at MIT Thursday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. as part of the Maine-based company’s second annual “Wintervention College Tour” that kicked off at the University of New Hampshire Friday and will be visiting 15 colleges in the Northeast this fall.
The boot mobile is billed as a larger-than-life version of L.L. Bean’s Bean Boot and will be available for photo opportunities with students and L.L. Bean will give away a pair of limited-edition Fenway Bean Boots along with a shopping spree and other prizes, according to the company.
The “Wintervention College Tour” is designed to inspire students to get excited and prepared for winter fun in the outdoors, according to the company. More information is available at facebook.com/llbean.
