The Tufts University Department of Music presents the Tufts Opera Ensemble in “School for Lovers: An Evening of Opera Scenes” in the Distler Performance Hall at the Perry and Marty Granoff Music Center on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 8 p.m.
The Tufts Opera Ensemble will perform an evening of favorite opera scenes, fully staged with piano accompaniment, and will feature scenes from classical operas such as The Magic Flute, Patience, Cosi Fan Tutte, and the Marriage of Figaro as well as scenes from “contemporary American Opera” including Street Scene and West Side Story. The Tufts Opera Ensemble is directed by Carol Mastrodomenico and musically directed by Thomas Stumpf.
