A colleague reports being traumatized by the temporary closing of Boston's Children's Museum, which is undergoing construction until April. (Memberships that expire during that time will be extended.)
Check suggestions for alternative indoor activities at gocitykids.com. Your Children's Museum membership is honored at the only two other Children's Museums in Mass., in Easton and Mashpee, but that may be a bit of a schlep if you live, as my colleague does, in Jamaica Plain. And by the way, for an afternoon outing that will delight most preschoolers, don't forget riding the T is endlessly entertaining to children, even with no destination.
