That's the sentiment expressed in this piece in Pediatrics Now, and I couldn't agree more. The year-round-ification of sports, where kids play on club teams and indoor versions of outdoor games so they can play the sport all year round, not only poses health risks, but also doesn't give them a chance to be, well, kids.
