As a chef, I imagine you wear a uniform fairly often. When are you able to dress up?
The beauty of our business is that there is a lot of entertaining, a lot of going out to parties and restaurants. There's always a lot of occasions for dressing up.
Describe your personal style.
I just like to have fun when I dress. I'll do anything that I can to not wear a suit and tie. It's kind of like when I'm cooking, it's a very improvisational style.
Where do you shop?
I travel a lot so I love to shop whether it be in Barcelona or Bangkok or New York or wherever. It's nice to be able to find things you can't find in Boston.
Who or what inspires your choice of clothes?
My wife (Celine) definitely. She has the best sense of style of anybody I know.
What is the most indispensable item in your closet?
Jeans. I buy a lot of different jeans. I just bought a new pair of Kasil jeans that I really love.
What does style mean to you?
I think it's pretty much just an outer confidence ... showing little peeks of who you are.
