US forces have fought in Iraq the entire four years the Class of 2007 was in high school, and in Bedford the war feels less distant than in most Boston suburbs. Plaques honoring two young alumni killed in Iraq hang in the Bedford High School lobby, and almost one-fifth of the school's 740 students live on Hanscom Air Force Base.

As the graduates head into the world, they reflect on what the war means to them.
