Whenever there is a lull in conversation at a Red Sox game, you'll always score points by yelling "Yankees Suck," even if the Sox are playing another team. Why? Because no matter what, a true Sox fan unilaterally hates anything and everything to do with the Yankees.

The bitter Yankees-Red Sox rivalry dates back to the prehistoric ages -- or at least to 1920, when Sox pitcher-turned-outfielder Babe Ruth was sold to the Yankees.

Need proof of the ongoing feud? Stop by the t-shirt vendors in Kenmore Square after a game. Among the shirt slogans: "Johnny Damon hits like a girl*," "Derek Jeter drinks wine coolers," and many more chestnuts not fit for print here.

*Damon used to play for the Sox. We loved him, swooned after him. Then he signed a contract with the Yankees in 2005. Damon and his luscious locks are now dead to us.
