The Massachusetts Nurses Association of Canton said management actions "threaten BMC's ability to retain the staff needed to provide the care patients deserve." Boston Medical Center said patient care and patient safety are its highest priority and added that management will "continue to work with nurses to provide benefits that are important." "Boston Medical Center values our nurses and is committed to ensuring an exceptional workplace for its staff while providing high quality and safe care for our patients," the hospital said in a statement.
