State health regulators expressed deep concern yesterday about proposals to open medical clinics in retail stores, fearing that patient care could be compromised. A report on healthcare disparities issued yesterday calls for the creation of a statewide agency to track differences in health status among racial and ethnic groups and to work to bridge gaps in care. President Bush was treated for Lyme disease last August, the White House announced yesterday after failing to disclose the problem for nearly a year.
