TRASH TALK: ''I used to work as a type designer, and all the designers used their pencils until they got small and then they would give them to me till they got even smaller.
''I like graphite pencils. I like the lead and I like the smell, which is sort of nostalgic, like when you were a kid in school. There are so many associations with pencils. People draw with them, and I'm interested in them for that association but also because I love the textures, the contrast between the graphite and the wood.''
