I'd rather read about buying art in the latest issue of Dwell than actually get off the sofa and do it. Let's just say my place has a few too many blank walls and leave it at that. But lately, I've bought a few pieces by an artist named Matte Stephens, who is almost as obsessed with birds as I am. I sort of dig the 1960s feel of his art. The originals are fairly reasonable. Most are small, around $200. You can also buy prints for $35 on Etsy.com. Paintings and prints are sold on Etsy and Velocity (velocityartanddesign.com).
