Being different is a wonderful thing…
Just as a garden is filled with many different flowers,
The world is filled with many different people.

It should not matter what color we are,
We are still beautiful flowers.
When we are put together,
We make a beautiful bouquet.

This bouquet will bloom and blossom,
As long as there is love and happiness.
When there is anger and hate,
Then the petals wilt and fall off.

So collect friends of different colors,
Along your road in life.
Then your bouquet will be fragrant
And everlasting!!

Diversity means different
people are special
How they celebrate holidays
How they dress
How they speak
Where they come from.
Diversity means different
You are special
How you cook
What you eat
How you cook

Diversity means different
People are special because they don’t have to brown or light skinned to be friends
Diversity is different
I am special because I am different
I don’t want to be the same as someone else because my Mom loves me the way I am
and so do I.

How do you feel?
How do you feel when someone is making fun of you?
I feel sad
Rain or shine
If you get use to it you will see the problem
There are just two black people
Say five or six mixed people
Just say please leave me along
So it does not matter what color you are or country
You’re from
But this poem hurt two other people and it
Does to me too, but I will still make friends
If they are nice to me
I forgive easy
You can be any color to be my friend
And if you ask
I am a boy and I have feelings too.
