Crayons
Many Crayons neatly stacked
In a box so tightly packed

Different colors some worn out
Not one crayon seems to shout

“Getting along is easy” they say
While the rest of the world cannot today

Every color has equal rights
This prevents from further fights

As long as peace is on our side
Equality and fairness will never slide.

One Sun, One Sky
There’s one sky above us sky above us all,
Uniting us for who we are.
The sun shines on all of us,
Lighting up our immense variety

We all laugh in the same language.
We all can relate to the bitter taste of anger.
Heartache from grief,
Triumph of achievement.

Equality dwells on who you are inside,
Not your appearance or beliefs.
For what would the world be,
If we were all the same?

Riches are not wealth,
But the gratification of respect,
Your kindness and acceptance,
Your ability to see yourself through your own eyes.

The small differences that we hold,
Must not interfere with our unity.
No matter our diversity,
We all share the same hearts.

We are all the same
In one way or another,
We all have worries,
We all have concerns,
But mainly we all have feelings.

When we fall and get hurt we cry,
But when we are having a good time we laugh. You cannot compare Blacks to Whites or Whites to Blacks
because we are the same in this world.

Each and everyone one of us
Has a unique personality,
Beliefs and physical abilities.
However, the World Unity,
Is not about those things.

It is about understanding
Each other and living in a
Positive and nurturing
Environment with
Respect and honor.
