Kasia Kowalchek, 26, of Allston, has accumulated 285 Pez candy dispensers since she started her collection in 1996. She said it all began after a college friend gave her a dispenser that she displayed on a shelf in her dorm room at Boston University.

"After that, every time I came across a new dispenser I just had to get it," she said.
