Prince Charles chose dramatically different engagement rings for his brides.

For their engagement, Charles gave Lady Diana Spencer an 18-carat oval blue sapphire surrounded by diamonds. She first wore it in public when appearing with Charles after their engagement was announced Feb. 24, 1981.

Camilla Parker Bowles' engagement ring is a royal family heirloom. It has a square-cut diamond with three diamond baguettes on each side on a platinum band. The bride-to-be wore the ring Thursday night for an appearance with Charles at Windsor Castle.
