Wheaton College
Former federal judge and current Harvard Law School professor Nancy Gertner will speak at Wheaton College’s graduation on May 18.
Gertner was appointed to the US District Court of Massachusetts by former President Bill Clinton in 1994. She taught at the Yale Law School while a judge.
Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly named Gertner one of the “Most Influential Lawyers of the Past 25 Years.”
Wheaton said Gertner “built her career around standing up for women’s rights, civil liberties, and justice for all.”
She will receive an honorary degree at the ceremony, which will take place in the Dimple at 10 a.m.
