UMass Amherst
About 5,500 UMass Amherst undergraduates and their families will hear Kenneth Chenault, the chairman and CEO of American Express Company, speak that the university’s commencement on May 10.
Chenault joined American Express in 1981 and became president and chief operating officer in 1997. He moved into the CEO role in 2001.
UMass Amherst’s undergraduate ceremony will take place at the McGuirk Alumni Stadium at 5 p.m. The graduate exercises will occur in the Mullins Center at 9 a.m., and the Stockbridge commencement will be held at the Bowker Auditorium on May 11 at 10 a.m.
