College of the Holy Cross
Author, essayist, and teacher Anne Fadiman will speak and receive an honorary degree at the College of the Holy Cross’s commencement ceremony on May 24.
Fadiman serves as the Francis Writer in Residence at Yale University.
Her nonfiction book “The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down: A Hmong Child, Her American Doctors, and the Collision of Two Cultures” received the National Book Critics Circle Award. Fadiman has also written two books of essays.
Fadiman will speak to about 691 graduates at the ceremony, which will take place on Fitton Field at 10:30 a.m.
