US Senator Elizabeth Warren will speak at Framingham State University’s commencement ceremony at the Framingham Town Green on May 19.

Warren will receive an honorary doctorate of human letters during the graduation exercises “for her advocacy and compassion for middle class Americans,” said the university.

“Senator Warren has dedicated herself to ensuring that everyone in this country gets a fair shot, regardless of their economic status,” said Framingham State University President Timothy J. Flanagan, in a news release. “I know our students, faculty and alumni will appreciate the opportunity to hear from Senator Warren this spring.”
