Emerson College
Emerson College will feature two commencement speakers at its graduations at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center on May 12.
Max Mutchnick (right,) an Emerson alum and trustee, will speak at the undergraduate ceremony at 10 a.m. Mutchnick is the co-creator of the television show “Will & Grace.” He has also wrote for movies and television shows, including: “Partners,” “S#*! My Dad Says,” and “Boston Common,” which is based on his time at Emerson.
The graduate ceremony speaker, Debbie Allen, is an actress, choreographer, television director, and producer. Her producing credits include “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” and the Spielberg film “Amistad.” Allen has been the artist-in-residence at the Kennedy Center for more than 15 years.
