Arlington
The Robbins Library’s Fox Branch in East Arlington will be open on Fridays for the rest of the fiscal year, thanks to private fund-raising efforts. The Friends of the Fox organization has raised the $25,000 needed to staff the branch at 175 Massachusetts Ave. from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays through June, said library director Maryellen Remmert-Loud. The library had been open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The money was raised through private efforts and proceeds from the Little Fox Shop, a children’s resale store in the library, Remmert-Loud said, and the Friends of the Fox group hopes to continue the Friday hours in the next fiscal year. - Brock Parker![]()
