Arlington’s Park and Recreation Commission will hold a public meeting on Thursday to gather feedback about how well the new off-leash hours have been working at local parks. The meeting will be held in Town Hall at 7 p.m. The laws took effect last October and allow dogs to be off leash from dawn to 9 a.m. at certain parks that aren’t next to schools. The commission is attempting to improve its policies in relation to the new law. Written comments can be submitted prior to the meeting to the Arlington Recreation Office at 422 Summer St., Arlington, MA 02474 or by e-mailing recreation director Joe Connelly at jconnelly@town.arlington.ma.us. - Brock Parker
