Corbett to lead parade Friday

Retired Arlington police officer and Navy veteran Dennis Corbett will serve as the grand marshal for the town’s annual Veterans Day parade on Friday. The parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. in East Arlington at the Walgreens parking lot off of Massachusetts Avenue, and continue to Monument Square in Arlington Center, where a ceremony will be held to honor veterans. This year the parade will also mark the anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Versailles, which ended the fighting in World War I in 1918. - Brock Parker
