The Visiting Nurse and Community Health’s Hospice Care program is seeking volunteers who are able to commit three hours per week to provide compassionate, dependable care to hospice patients and their families.

The Arlington-based nonprofit agency’s extensive service area, encompassing 22 communities, makes it possible for volunteers to work with families close to home.

The program’s team of skilled nurses, social workers, volunteers, therapists, and home health aides work together to provide comfort and support to patients suffering from advanced illness.

The agency serves Arlington, Bedford, Belmont, Billerica, Burlington, Cambridge, Carlisle, Concord, Everett, Lexington, Lincoln, Malden, Medford, Melrose, Somerville, Stoneham, Wakefield, Waltham, Watertown, Wilmington, Winchester, and Woburn.
