Movember charity event at Royale
During the month of November, men around the globe grow mustaches to raise money and awareness for men’s health issues, specifically for prostate and testicular cancer. Thursday night, partygoers donned mustaches for a Movember gala at the Royale Boston Nightclub. The profits from ticket sales went to charity.
Monica MacFarlane, 32, Liz Vargas, 34, and Nicole Lordelo, 27, donned their dark ‘staches and matching suspenders.

Ethan Sheldon of Hyde Park, Matt McHugh, of West Roxbury, and Jeff Kelly of Hyde Park, wore matching vests to go with their fully grown mustaches.
Jason Littman-Quinn of Dorchester posed for a caricature of him and his ‘stache.
Crystal Andrea and Kelli Santangelo, both of Plainsfield, went to the party dressed as one mustache.

When Justin Smith (pictured right) learned that his uncle, Charles LaVerdreie of Worcester (left) had prostate cancer, he knew he wanted to help. “When someone is sick you feel really powerless,” Smith said. “So when you get the chance to do something you jump at it.” This year, he and his team “50 Shades of Mustache” raised more than $14,000.
