BonChon, a chain featuring South Korean cuisine, plans to open its second location just a quarter mile walk from the first.

French-Asian bakery chain Tous Les Jours is expected to open in the spring of 2013 its first-ever Boston location in the former Kelly’s Roast Beef restaurant space at the busy intersection of Harvard and Commonwealth avenues in Allston, according to officials who brokered the deal. Kelly’s, a locally-owned, family-run restaurant franchise that went into business six decades ago, closed the Allston shop abruptly in Dec. 2011, after a year-and-a-half run there. The store was Kelly’s newest of six locations.
