River Speedway Administration Building, built in 1899, was once the center of operations of a long-vanished race track for horse-drawn buggies. The building is the last remaining original structure of a once sprawling recreational facility along the edge of the Charles River in Brighton that included a mile long horseracing track, a 1.75 mile stretch of parkway and two-mile long bike track.
