Past, future of Christian Science Plaza

The Boston Redevelopment Authority board voted Tuesday to approve rezoning the Christian Science Church plaza , making way for the church's plans to revitalize its world headquarters with three new buildings, upgrades, and a new pavilion. In March, the city of Boston has designated the plaza a historic landmark , giving it special protections from future development, including changes to its most famous feature -- a 686-foot-long reflecting pool.
