Six-year restoration celebration

The Unity Church Restoration Committee will offer a celebration of the restoration of the historic Unity Church of North Easton at 1 p.m. Saturday in the church at 13 Main St. With public and private funding and six years of restoration work, the 136-year-old building has been saved. The celebration will look back at highlights of the project and honor the individuals and community that made it possible. A self-guided tour and light refreshments will follow. The church is handicapped-accessible and offers parking behind the church or on the street. - Christine Legere
