NH man dies in collision with tractor trailer

CHESTERFIELD, N.H.—New Hampshire State Police say a 22-year-old man died when the car he was driving crossed into oncoming traffic and was struck by a tractor trailer.

Police say Benjamin Moseley of Charlestown was driving west on Route 9 in Chesterfield when he crossed into the eastbound lane about 6:40 p.m. Tuesday.

The driver of the tractor trailer, 48-year-old Paul Modzelewski (mod-zeh-LOO'-ski) of Staten Island, N.Y., was treated and released from a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are investigating. They say speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash.
