To the little kids who passed by, they were just nice men collecting presents for Boston Medical Center’s “Pieces of Home Backpack Project.’’ But to anyone over oh, let’s say, the age of 25, the do-gooding trio was easily recognizable as Ricky Bell, Ronnie DeVoe, and Michael Bivins, also known as Bell Biv DeVoe. The Boston-bred group, best known for the dance hits “Poison’’ and “Do Me,’’ joined JAM’N 94.5 morning personalities Ramiro, Pebbles, and Melissa at the South Bay Target yesterday afternoon to collect items for local foster care kids affiliated with the “Pieces of Home’’ program. BBD performed at the Wilbur Theatre on Wednesday night.
