'FIGMENT' comes alive downtown

Over the past weekend, the Rose Fitzgerald Greenway was taken over by FIGMENT Boston, a free, participatory public arts festival celebrating its second year in the Boston area. FIGMENT began in New York City in 2007 and first came to the Boston area in 2010. This year it has expanded to Jackson, Miss., and Detroit, Mich. “We want people to break down the walls between art and the viewer. So we don’t have viewers, we have participants,” said Jason Turgeon, producer for the festival.
