A tour of the Boston Harbor Islands

A wild turkey stalks along the edge of Spectacle Island’s beach, little disturbed by the presence of humans. No effort has been made to repopulate the island with animals since its transformation from landfill to park, but many species of birds have made their way to the island, along with a few mammals, including a raccoon.
