Participants ranged in age, creed, and race, with countless college students, middle-aged out of work professionals, union factions, and families all turning out to take part. Many said that amidst the crowd they were finding their voice. "I didn't want to look back and that I didn't go and see this and participate while it's happening," said Michael Labelle, 48, of Dorchester, who works in financial services.
