Downtown, Chinatown, and Leather District Census Breakdown

All figures are courtesy of the Boston Redevelopment Authority (BRA) Research Division, via the US Census Bureau.

The BRA, a city department, said that the because the city has no officially designated neighborhood boundaries, constraints used to sort this data were based ZIP codes and zoning boundaries.

Therefore, while the neighborhood boundaries used are likely agreeable to most, they may not exactly match what some residents and others commonly perceive about where neighborhoods begin and end.
