Boston English over Boston Latin - Now that I have your attention, my annual plea. Move this game to White Stadium, and combine it with Southie-Eastie in a Thanksgiving Football Festival. Have free coffee and hot chocolate and a football theme park, the way the Patriots do in the preseason. In other words, either make this game part of an annual celebration of school football in Boston . . . or stop playing it.

Needham over Wellesley - Have a blast as we look back on the 20th anniversary of the firecracker that wasn’t. Wonder what those wacky kids are doing today?

St. Mary’s over Lynn Lions - It was 50 years ago that Tony Conigliaro quarterbacked St. Mary’s to a 22-6 win over a Lynn all-star team playing under the name “Lions.’’ Four years later, he led the American League in home runs with 32.
